Here is theAlpaca Farm from which we source the wool for our Quilts, Pillows and Toppers. Our loving Alpacas live in Renon, in the province of Bolzano, Italy, where our friend and breeder Walter Mair, his family, and his staff caringly care for them. It is therefore 100 percent Italian wool, as is the entire production chain.

The estate that welcomes them covers 12 hectares in an enchanted valley, where our furry friends enjoy immense spaces that allow them to graze freely, living at an altitude suitable for their biological and physical characteristics.

As you can see, it is not intensive breeding. Once a year the Alpacas are sheared by hand, and from their precious wool we produce our handcrafted Quilts, Pillows and Toppers. Alpaca Wool contains no lanolin so it is odorless, has extraordinary thermal properties and is very reminiscent of Cashmere in its warmth and softness to the touch.

During shearing, the animals do not suffer; in fact, it is a time of well-being for them. Compared to Goose Down therefore, buying an Alpaca Down means having a natural product where the animal has not suffered.
